Theodore "Theo" Annemann was a genius, a legend, and magic's most incredible Supernova. In a mere 35 years, his creativity blazed to prolific glory- most notably in the classic pages of his own magazine, The Jinx- and then was suddenly, tragically extinguished.
Still, in his brief time, he produced as much brilliant magic as any two talented men and it takes two volumes of The Joyal Index to categorize and catalogue his remarkable achievements. This two volume set includes more than 1700 separate entries!
This first volume encompasses the early years of Annemann's work from 1929 to 1934 including such books as Annemann's Card Miracles, The Book Without A Name, Exclusive Secrets of Annemann's Conception and Climax Card Routine, plus all the issues of The Jinx, totalling more than 750 separate entries.
The second volume encompasses the middle years of Annemann's genius and his last contributions to the art of magic. Also indexed are Annemann creations published in subsequent volumes, such as Abrams' Annemann: The Life and Times of a Legend. From 1935 to 2000, over 900 entries.
Card magicians, mentalists, and anyone who admires the brilliance of this unique master will find The Joyal Index: Annemann 1 and 2 to be an essential addition to their magic reference libraries.
